ServisFirst Bank Names New Member to Board of Directors

Montgomery, AL -

ServisFirst Bank elected Dr. John Jernigan to its Montgomery Board of Directors, as his dedication to the city of Montgomery will further strengthen the bank’s commitment to the community. Dr. Jernigan, who brings more than 30 years of experience in leadership positions in Montgomery, is the Managing Partner and Founder of Mulberry Medical Associate, P.C., Principal Investigator at Mulberry Clinical Research and Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Alabama-Birmingham.

A board certified physician and esteemed business professional, Jernigan serves as a clinical instructor in the Nurse Practitioner program for both the University of Alabama and Troy University, and as a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of Alabama School of Medicine through its internal medicine residency program in Montgomery, a title he has held since 1984. Dr. Jernigan continues to research and direct medical trials on diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and rheumatoid arthritis.

In addition to this appointment and his thriving medical practice, Dr. Jernigan is the current President of the Alabama State Board of Health. By establishing a scholarship in Auburn University’s College of Sciences and Mathematics, Dr. Jernigan continues to be an active member and role model to tomorrow’s health professionals.
