ServisFirst Bank Announces New Hire to Fort Walton Banking Team

ServisFirst Bank, a subsidiary of ServisFirst Bancshares (NASDAQ:SFBS), recently announced the addition of Robert “Bob” Bennett to ServisFirst Bank Fort Walton Beach as Senior Vice President Commercial Banking Officer.

Bennett joins ServisFirst Bank with over three decades of professional banking experience and financial leadership. He is client-oriented with proven success at building relationships, cultivating partnerships, retaining top accounts, and growing profit channels. His skillset will provide an unmatched value through both revenue growth and strategic thinking to the Fort Walton market.

Prior to joining ServisFirst Bank, Bennett served as President and Chief Operating Officer of First City Bank for almost twenty years. Before assuming this leadership position, Bennett was Executive Vice President and Senior Lender with First City Bank.

Bennett earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Wake Forest University. He completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) at The University of West Florida and earned an additional graduate degree from the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.

Throughout his career, Bennett has continued to give back to the Fort Walton community through a variety of organizations and nonprofits. He is the immediate past president of the Okaloosa Public Schools Foundation, a nonprofit focused on scholarship opportunities for local students and the expansion of classroom education opportunities. Additionally, Bennett is the founding director and treasurer of a local non-denominational church, Beachside Community Church, since 2008. He also serves as a volunteer assistant boys basketball coach at Choctawhatchee High School.
