ServisFirst Bank Announces Expansion in Tampa Bay Region

Top Ranked Community Bank Assembles Local, Veteran Leadership Team

ServisFirst Bank , a subsidiary of ServisFirst Bancshares (NASDAQ:SFBS), announces the opening of its new banking center in the Tampa Bay Region continuing its growth and business operations in Florida. Local banking veteran Greg Bryant as CEO leads the Tampa Bay Region team. Also joining the leadership team is President Gwynn Davey, Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer Pat Murrin, Senior Vice President and Cash Management Officer Jennifer Noel, and Vice President and Commercial Banking Officer Jonathan Zunz.

The team will lead the growth of ServisFirst Bank’s commercial banking group in the Tampa Bay area through its extensive business and banking experience, building service oriented relationships with businesses and citizens, and providing responsive and superior service. The ServisFirst Bank Tampa Bay Region office is located at 2009 Osprey Lane, Lutz, Florida 33549. ServisFirst Bancshares Inc. recently announced its fourth quarter earnings of 2015. Highlights include:

  • Diluted earnings per share increased 28% from $0.58 to $0.79 year over year
  • Diluted earnings per share increased 21% from $0.61 to $0.74 on a linked quarter basis
  • Net income for the quarter increased 31% year over year
  • Organic loan and deposit growth for the year of 20% and 18%, respectively
  • Fourth quarter annualized loan and deposit growth of 17% and 18%, respectively, on a inked quarter basis

Greg Bryant, Tampa Bay CEO, ServisFirst Bank Executive Vice President

With 29 years of banking experience, Greg Bryant leads ServisFirst Bank Tampa Bay Region as the Regional CEO and Executive Vice President of ServisFirst Bank. Previously, Bryant served as the President and CEO of Bay Cities Bank in Tampa, Florida from 2000 until its sale to Centennial Bank on October 1, 2015. Prior to Bay Cities Bank, Bryant worked with GE Capital, focused on owner-occupied mortgages and large equipment loans to middle market companies. Before joining GE, Bryant spent his banking career with SouthTrust Bank where he held positions of increasing authority, ultimately serving as Senior Vice President and Manager of both Metro Market and Business Banking for the Tampa Bay area.

Bryant served as Chair of the Florida Banker's Association in 2012, and is active in the CEO Council of Tampa Bay and the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce. Bryant is a graduate of Jacksonville State University and the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Colorado.

Gwynn Davey, Tampa Bay Regional President

With 26 years of banking and financial experience, Gwynn Davey joins ServisFirst Bank Tampa Bay Region as President. Previously, Davey served as the Market President of Hillsborough County for Bay Cities Bank in Tampa, Florida from 2013 until its sale to Centennial Bank on October 1, 2015. Davey also previously served the Tampa Bay community for Bay Cities Bank, rising from Vice President of Commercial Lending to Senior Lender and ultimately to her position as Market President. Before joining Bay Cities, she spent time with SouthTrust Bank of Tampa, Florida and with various financial institutions in Rochester and New York City, New York.

Davey serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce and has served as Chair and Emcee of the Tampa Chamber Small Business of the Year Award Committee. She is also a past President of the Rotary Club of Tampa and the Commercial Real Estate Women of Tampa Bay. She has held various committee and Board positions for not for profit entities including Teaching Tools for Hillsborough Schools and Kids Charity Tampa Bay. Davey is a cum laude graduate of Siena College and obtained her Masters of Business in Finance from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Pat Murrin, Senior Vice President, Chief Credit Officer

With 25 years of banking experience, Pat Murrin joins ServisFirst Bank as Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer of ServisFirst Bank Tampa Bay Region. Murrin previously served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer of Bay Cities Bank in Tampa, Florida from 2004 until its sale to Centennial Bank on October 1, 2015. Prior to Bay Cities, Murrin spent his banking career with SouthTrust Bank, ultimately serving as Vice President of Risk Assessment and Eastern Region Manager of SouthTrust’s Loan Review Department.

Murrin is a graduate of the University of South Florida and the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.

Jennifer Noel, Senior Vice President, Cash Management Officer

With 18 years of banking experience, Jennifer Noel joins as Senior Vice President and Cash Management Officer of ServisFirst Bank Tampa Bay Region. Noel previously served as the Vice President and Private Relationship Manager at The Bank of Tampa. Prior to her time with The Bank of Tampa, Noel worked with Bay Cities Bank for 10 years, ultimately holding the position of Vice President of Treasury Management. Before joining Bay Cities, Noel served SouthTrust Bank in the retail division. Noel sits on the Board and previously served as president for the Kiwanis Club of Carrollwood. She also serves as Treasurer for the Carrollwood Area Business Association. Noel is active with the Women in Action group at the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, Carrollwood Bar Association, and the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Association of Financial Professionals. Noel is a graduate of the University of Florida.

Jonathan Zunz, Vice President, Commercial Banking Officer

Jonathan Zunz joins as Vice President and Commercial Banking Officer of ServisFirst Bank Tampa Bay Region with over seven years of banking experience. Zunz previously served as the Vice President of Commercial Lending for Bay Cities Bank. Zunz is a member of the Rotary Club of Tampa. He graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Webber International University in Babson Park, Florida.
